The Imaging Parts Sales Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers seeking replacement parts for diagnostic imaging systems. This position is responsible for responding to inbound sales opportunities received via phone and email, identifying customer requirements, preparing competitive quotations, and converting inquiries into orders. This position exercises independent judgment in evaluating customer equipment/part needs and recommending optimal parts sourcing strategies including repair, exchange, refurbished, or OEM alternatives and has authority to negotiate pricing and terms within established guidelines. Success in this role requires urgency, strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience while achieving sales objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound diagnostic imaging parts inquiries and advises customers on parts, life-cycle planning, and sourcing options.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in structuring customer solutions, including evaluating repair-vs-exchange-vs-replace options based on cost, urgency, and equipment lifecycle considerations.
  • Negotiate pricing, discount structures, and terms within assigned authority levels, including authority to approve exceptions up to $0.00 without supervisor approval.
  • Commits company resources or sets terms such as payment terms, expedited fulfillment commitments, or vendor sourcing when a part isn't in standard inventory.
  • Develop accurate and competitive quotations designed to maximize quote conversion and revenue.
  • Proactively manage open quotations to increase win rates and secure customer purchase orders.
  • Build strong relationships with hospitals, independent service organizations (ISOs), OEM service providers, and biomedical engineering departments.
  • Serve as a technical/commercial advisor to ISO, service, and customers on parts sourcing strategy and lifecycle planning.
  • Utilize internal inventory systems and resources to identify available parts, exchange options, and suitable alternatives
  • Based on product knowledge and professional judgement, recommend substitutes or upgraded products when appropriate to meet customer needs and improve sales opportunities.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently while ensuring pricing, terms, and customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Repair, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage, monitor and maintain accurate customer records, quotations, and sales activities within company systems.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to pricing, availability, order status, and product selection in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of diagnostic imaging systems, replacement parts, exchange programs, and company service offerings.
  • Meet or exceed established performance metrics including quote turnaround time, quote conversion rate, order accuracy, revenue objectives, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve customer response times, sales processes, and overall customer experience
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in sales, customer service, or parts sales.
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging, biomedical equipment, medical equipment, industrial equipment, or technical parts sales preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple customer opportunities in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently structure pricing and sourcing recommendations without pre-approval
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and close transactional sales opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP software, like Salesforce
  • Ability to learn technical product information and communicate value effectively.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Experience selling replacement parts for diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
