About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Application Specialist who will serve as the bridge between cutting-edge medical imaging technology and healthcare providers. This role combines clinical expertise with commercial acumen to drive pre-sales success through compelling workflow demonstrations and consultative guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support & Consultation
  • Demonstrate medical imaging workflows and solutions to prospective clients during sales presentations.
  • Provide expert consultation on imaging workflow optimization and system integration.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct on-site and virtual product demonstrations with clinical accuracy and commercial appeal.
  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify clinical, operational, technical, and commercial fit early in the sales process.

• Lead clinical discovery sessions to identify current workflow gaps, reporting inefficiencies, integration needs, and user adoption risks.
• Assess prospect imaging volumes, modalities, staffing models, turnaround-time expectations, and reporting requirements to shape the sales strategy.
• Ensure handoff from sales to implementation includes accurate workflow assumptions, customer expectations, and success criteria.
Clinical Excellence & Advisory
  • Leverage clinical background to provide credible, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into practical clinical benefits.
  • Support proof-of-concept implementations and pilot programs.
  • Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for product development feedback.
  • Serve as the clinical voice during the sales process, ensuring proposed solutions align with real-world imaging operations and patient-care workflows.

• Evaluate prospect workflows and recommend best-practice configurations that improve efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
• Translate customer-reported workflow problems into actionable solution designs and commercial recommendations.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Build trusted relationships with radiologists, technologists, and IT decision-makers.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for potential customers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Travel up to 20% to support regional sales initiatives and customer meetings.
  • Build credibility with clinical and technical stakeholders by understanding their workflow, constraints, priorities, and success measures.
  • Engage radiologists, cardiologists, sonographers, technologists, administrators, and IT leaders in tailored conversations that uncover buying motivation.
  • Help identify and develop clinical champions who can advocate internally for the solution.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment by connecting clinical value, IT feasibility, operational impact, and executive priorities.
  • Lead workflow review sessions with prospects to validate current-state pain points and define desired future-state processes.

Required Qualifications
Clinical Credentials & Experience
  • Professional Certification: Current RDMS, RCS, ARRT certification or equivalent credential required.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a sonographer, radiologic technologist, or equivalent imaging professional.
  • PACS Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) in a clinical environment.

Technical & Commercial Skills
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging workflows, protocols, and quality standards.
  • An interest in exploring commercial opportunities within healthcare technology.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with imaging software, workflow management systems, and healthcare IT infrastructure.
