Job description

Athari is a diversity-focused staffing firm dedicated to connecting employers with underrepresented talent and reducing bias in hiring. We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medical Technologist to join our client’s hospital and health care team in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality nuclear medicine services, with a focus on both general and cardiology procedures. You will play a critical part in ensuring patient safety, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting departmental goals.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including patient preparation, isotope handling, equipment operation, and image processing.
  • Conduct both general nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology studies.
  • Operate SPECT/CT equipment as required for clinical applications.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all exams and departmental operations.
  • Support quality control and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental workflow and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus technical schooling
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 1+ year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Recent experience performing both general nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology procedures
  • Experience operating SPECT/CT equipment in a clinical setting
  • ARRT registration or CNMT certification
  • Current New Jersey State Radiology License
  • Current CPR certification
  • ACR CT certification or SPECT/CT certification
  • IV certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
