To thrive as an IM3 (Industrial Mechanic Level 3), you need strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a recognized trade qualification such as a Red Seal or equivalent apprenticeship. Familiarity with industrial tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and effective teamwork are essential soft skills for excelling in this role. These skills and qualifications ensure safe, efficient equipment maintenance and minimize downtime in industrial settings.

IM3 professionals often juggle several IT projects at once, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A common challenge is balancing competing deadlines and resource constraints while ensuring all stakeholders remain informed and engaged. Navigating shifting project requirements and integrating new technologies can also demand flexibility and proactive problem-solving. Successful IM3 professionals use collaborative tools and clear communication to keep teams aligned and projects on track.

Job description

Location: Tecumseh, Michigan
Type: Full Time or part time
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 base + quarterly production at 25% which is negotiable; Open to reimbursement of moving expenses
Category: Private Practice – we are a FAMILY-OWNED veterinary clinic that has no intention of selling to corporate
Occupation: Veterinarian
Species: Canine & feline primarily, 5% large animal that is optional to see

Required Education: DVM or equivalent
Tecumseh Veterinary Hospital: We are seeking two full time associate veterinarians to eventually replace Dr.’s Edward and Lorrie Tritt as they get ready for retirement. However, part time candidates are also welcome to apply. At most clinics the new associate would have to bring in new clientele to justify the hiring of an additional veterinarian, here as Dr. Ed and Lorrie back off, you would take over their clientele. This is also a great opportunity for someone with surgical interest!
Dr. Ed and Lorrie Tritt bought the clinic in 1994. In 2020, they added on their daughter, Dr. Sarah Tritt, and she bought the clinic in January 2026. We offer a wide range of services, from wellness to internal medicine, geriatric care, and surgery. We have in-house Idexx lab machines (Procyte, Catalyst, SediVue, inVue Dx), ultrasound, digital radiographs, ridged endoscopy, IM3 dental machine, and cornerstone software. We have brought many orthopedic (fracture plating, SK, TPLO, tightrope) and endoscopic (ovariectomy, endoscope-assisted gastropexy) services to the area. We are open to adding advanced ultrasound diagnostics or more advanced dental procedures, so an associate with these skills or a desire to learn them would be highly sought after. We would love to continue to offer orthopedic and endoscopic surgeries to the area, and would be happy to help an associate veterinarian acquire the CE necessary for these procedures as well.
If a candidate aspires practice ownership, Dr. Sarah is open to bringing on a business partner to buy into the clinic in the next 2-5 years.
Our compensation package includes a starting base salary of $110,000 - $120,000 with a 25% quarterly production which is negotiable. We are open to helping reimburse moving expenses as well. We offer health insurance (medical, health savings account), life and disability insurance, simple plan retirement with company match up to 3%, $500 CE allowance, and reimbursement for AVMA dues, MVMA dues, SMVMA dues, state license, state controlled substance license, and federal DEA licensing fees. Our veterinarians have one weekday off per week, every other weekend off, no mandatory after-hours emergency, and average 40 hours a week.
