Job description

Title: Graphic Designer
Location: Jackson, MS
Duration: 12 months
 
 
 Graphic Designer :
  1. 7 to 9 years’ experience.
  2. Design documents, flyers, infographics, conference programs, social media graphics, and other communication materials.
  3. Need to have the understanding of their project needs and desired format, including the final publication (i.e., printed hard copy, digital version, epub, etc.).
  4. Collaborate with The Office of Early Childhood Education to schedule projects to meet necessary timelines, budget constraints, and overall agency communications plan.
  5. Set parameters for print production and work with vendors to ensure final production quality.
  6. Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
  7. Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image.
  8. Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each project.
  9. Produce drafts for review by The Office of Early Childhood Education and make revisions based on the feedback received.
  10. Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and follow agency brand guidelines and style sheets.
Required Skills/Experience
  1. Proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
