Job description

Job Summary: The Microbiologist Technician I is responsible for the implementation of the microbiological control program at iLABS to ensure production meets the requirements of the microbiological standards and operating procedures. Microbiological control programs include but are not limited to: Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), environmental monitoring, raw materials, bulk and finished product testing & release, and corrective and preventive actions.
Hourly rate: $20-22
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with microbiological testing per USP 60, 61, 62 on Raw Materials/Bulk Products/Finished Products/DI water and stability for R&D samples.
  • Assist with preparation of microbiological testing.
  • Accurately document lab results and data in accordance with cGMP and GMP practices.
  • Demonstrate the use of aseptic technique, pipetting techniques and microscopy techniques.
  • Analyze and read microbiological test results while ensuring proper data integrity and GMP principles are followed.
  • Keep inventory of laboratory supplies.
  • Execute basic identification of microorganisms (Gram stain).
  • Manage internal verification of pH meter, analytical balance, incubators, thermometers, autoclave, refrigerators, Biological Safety Cabinet, etc. and document in designated logbooks in accordance with cGMP and GMP practices.
  • Cross-train to ensure full functionality on all laboratory equipment and methods.

Requirements
  • Laboratory experience.
  • cGMP and GMP knowledge is a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology or related disciplines is required.
  • Ability to multi-task and have good time management skills.
  • Utilize and understand computer applications and programs (Microsoft suite, Office 365).
