Lead Mitigation Technician
The Lead Mitigation Technician position is a career in the property damage restoration industry, primarily responsible for leading a crew of technicians who respond to emergency and property damaging situations.  The Mitigation Leader has a drive to lead.  The Lead Mitigation Technician and team address the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism, and our goal is to preserve as much of the property as possible while working safely and efficiently on the job site.  
       
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold
  • Recruit and coach technicians both in the field and in the warehouse
  • Survey damage within the property
  • Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property
  • Manage cleaning process for both contents and structural damage
  • Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools  
  • Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
  • Perform initial site visits
  • Conduct moisture inspections
  • Set restoration equipment within guidelines 
  • Complete notes of assigned jobs in our primary operating system (RMS) 
  • Contact the customer of assigned jobs with ETA 
  • Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process 
  • Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment
  • Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned vehicles with equipment 
  • Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop 
  • Responsible for unloading trash in assigned area
  • Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the job assigned 
  • Pass IICRC certifications as IICRC classes are offered 
  • Assist in the development of new hires through on the job training 
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to lead a team of Technicians 
  • Ability to complete work on multiple jobs within the same time frame 
  • Ability to participate in an on call schedule 
  • Ability to work within hazardous environments safely 
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely

  • Maintain a level of confidentiality 
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Customer Service experience 
  • 1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position or equivalent schooling 
Preferred Education and Experience: 
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree 
  • One or more years’ experience within the restoration industry
Physical Requirement:
  • Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 25% of the time within a vehicle.
  • Constantly moves about job sites
  • Constantly positions self to move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces
  • Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs 
  • Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents 
  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face 
  • Frequently will lift up to 60lbs
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
