GM Performance Power Units - Concord, NC IFS ERP Business Analyst - Onsite Job Summary

GM Performance Power Units (GMPPU) seeks a highly qualified and driven IFS ERP Business Analyst to support and advance our enterprise IFS Cloud environment. This position serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and the technical IT team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining, optimizing, and expanding the IFS ERP platform, with a primary focus on Finance, while supporting cross-functional processes across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Engineering, Asset Management, and Corporate Support.

The role is responsible for analyzing business processes, defining requirements, configuring and supporting IFS modules, driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting system implementations and upgrades, and ensuring that ERP solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and financial reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing and new finance-related business processes and translate requirements into scalable IFS functional solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, internal controls, and reporting capabilities.
  • Map business processes and document functional requirements, workflows, and solution designs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement ERP-enabled process improvements.
Finance Module
  • Support, configure, and optimize IFS Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting, Project Accounting, and Cash Management.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for finance-related ERP functionality.
  • Ensure financial processes align with accounting standards and company policies.
Project Delivery & Change Management
  • Participate in ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Lead workshops with Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives.
  • Coordinate with implementation partners, consultants, and internal technical teams.
System Configuration & Support
  • Assist with configuration of Finance and related modules within IFS Cloud.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide functional support to end users.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Deliver user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
Reporting, Analytics & Compliance
  • Collaborate with business users to develop financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs using IFS reporting tools and Power BI.
  • Support financial close processes and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to financial system integrity and reporting accuracy.
Integration & Data Management
  • Work with technical teams to support integrations using APIs, middleware, and EDI.
  • Participate in data migration, validation, and data governance initiatives.
  • Support master data management and financial data quality efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5+ years of ERP Business Analyst experience with exposure to Finance processes.
  • Hands-on experience supporting, implementing, or optimizing IFS Applications (IFS Cloud preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and financial controls.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into ERP solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Finance Module Expertise.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or asset-intensive environments.
  • IFS certifications or relevant ERP certifications.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, financial analytics, and data modeling.
