Overview
Since 1979, Insight for Living (IFL) has been committed to excellence in teaching the study and application of God’s Word. Pastor Chuck Swindoll and his wife, Cynthia, began the ministry by broadcasting Pastor Chuck’s Bible-teaching program, Insight for Living, on 18 stations. Today, the program airs on more than 2,000 stations, can be streamed through various online channels, and can be heard in 70 countries and eight languages.
We also produce quality Bible-study resources, have a dynamic online presence, provide pastoral counseling, and actively walk alongside listeners through life’s challenges. As a ministry, we’re committed to Vision 195, our strategic mission to pursue Jesus’ Great Commission by extending God’s grace and making disciples in all 195 countries and their 6,875 heart languages.
In addition to our international headquarters in Frisco, Texas, we currently have ministry offices in 10 countries, where our pastors translate resources, train church leaders to use Pastor Chuck’s Searching the Scriptures Bible-study methods, serve their communities, and pursue Vision 195 in their languages. Position Summary
The Marketing Content Specialist (Specialist) will create, edit, and maintain content across our digital channels. The Specialist will support the IFL website, e-mail, and social media to ensure consistency of the ministry’s brand, voice, and communications goals. The Specialist role carries heavy emphasis on writing and proofreading and is responsible for helping load devotionals and monthly offers to our WordPress website. As a representative of the ministry, the Specialist is relational, detail-oriented, and an independent self-starter who serves with the utmost grace, care, and professionalism.
Core Job Functions
Marketing Content Development (45%) 
  • Writes and edits content for web pages, e-mail campaigns, broadcast scripts, social media, and published materials
  • Proofreads and copyedits content across all platforms for grammar, tone, and brand consistency
  • Ensures ministry brand, voice, and style guide consistency across all written and digital touchpoints
  • Uploads, formats, and schedules content such as devotionals and monthly offers
  • Coordinates with the design and communications team on content calendars and publishing schedules

Digital Content Development (40%) 
  • Assists in updating the WordPress website
  • Provides light graphic design support for accompanying visuals using Canva
  • Repurposes long-form written and video content into shorter formats for social media and e-mail campaigns
  • Monitors content performance metrics, including page views, engagement, and e-mail open rates, to inform future content decisions

Professional Development and Project Management (5%)
  • Commits to the challenges of growth and development according to the Professional Development Plan
  • Pursues the designated knowledge and/or experience with a positive attitude
  • Completes assigned tasks with excellence and in a timely manner
  • Pursues new training opportunities in project management programs departmentally

Team Member Contribution (10%)
  • Models IFL’s core values through daily conduct

Position Specifications
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience desired
  • 1–3 years of experience in content writing, copyediting, or digital marketing
  • Experience with WordPress or a comparable content management system
  • Strong writing and editing portfolio; writing samples will be requested
  • Familiarity with basic analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or e-mail platform dashboards
  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Self-motivated, creative, and organized
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  • High attention to detail with outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize work with minimal direction
  • Ability to work well under time constraints
  • Humility, a high level of flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to listen and work well with others

*This is a full-time hybrid position and will require on-site work, Tuesday through Thursday.
