JOB DESCRIPTION
The Solutions Architect position is in support of HQSOCOM at MacDill AFB.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Solutions Architect, you will play a multifaceted role developing and implementing platform and infrastructure solutions while managing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC) processes. You will ensure smooth and efficient implementation of complex systems, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and collaborate across teams to meet mission and project requirements within scope, time, and budget constraints.

This role requires exceptional problemsolving ability, strong communication skills, and deep expertise in systems architecture, emerging technologies, and enterpriselevel cloud environments.

This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
Design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable platform and infrastructure solutions that meet enterprise mission requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess technology and business needs, evaluate solution options, and recommend optimal architectures
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and standards
Partner with business development teams to identify new opportunities, support proposal development, and participate in customer engagements
Work closely with project managers and mission partners to ensure delivery within established scope, timeline, and budget
Conduct research and evaluation of emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure solutions align with industry best practices
Participate in prototype development to validate solution feasibility

REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and implementing platform and infrastructure solutions for largescale enterprise applications
Strong expertise in cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, networking, and security
Proven experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies including CI/CD, automation, and monitoring
Proficiency with IaC and CaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN
Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of cloud networking and security
Experience designing highly available, scalable, and faulttolerant systems using IaC/CaC
Experience with Agile and DevOps practices
Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and in fastpaced, dynamic environments

Desired Skills:
USSOCOM/SOF experience preferred

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Experience: 12 years of related experience, including 5 years specialized
Education: BS in Engineering or related technical field (relevant experience may substitute)
Certifications: Security+ CE or other 8570 certification required; AWS or Azure Cloud Professional certification preferred
Role Requirements: Onsite work at MacDill AFB
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible
