RSU #3 is seeking a highly qualified IEP Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized, flexible, and team-oriented. Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on positive interactions with the RSU # 3 school team and community members required.
Reports to: Coordinator of Special Services
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Special Education.
2. Current Maine DOE 282 K-12 Teaching Certification.
3. Minimum of three years Special Education teaching experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and review IEP meeting documents to ensure quality and accuracy.
2. Monitor IEP document timelines to ensure compliance with Maine DOE guidelines.
3. Support and assist case managers, Special Education teachers, and service providers with paperwork or related questions.
4. Attend and assist in all IEP meetings as requested.
5. Attends all required district/DOE meetings and professional development.
6. Any other duties as assigned by the Special Education Coordinator.
Applicants must have or be able to obtain a CHRC (criminal history record check) with the Maine Department of Education.
