What is identity home staging?

Identity Home Staging is a professional service that prepares homes for sale by arranging furniture, decor, and accessories to highlight the property's strengths and appeal to potential buyers. The goal is to create an inviting and attractive environment that helps buyers envision themselves living in the space. This process can involve decluttering, depersonalizing, and making minor repairs or cosmetic updates. Effective home staging often leads to faster sales and higher offers by making a property stand out in the real estate market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a home stager?

To thrive as a Home Stager, you need a keen eye for interior design, spatial planning, and a solid understanding of real estate trends, often supported by relevant coursework or certification in staging or design. Familiarity with design software like SketchUp, Photoshop, or home staging inventory management systems is also valuable. Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills help you collaborate with clients and realtors while managing multiple projects efficiently. These abilities are crucial for creating appealing, market-ready spaces that attract buyers and maximize property value.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in identity home staging and how can they be managed?

Professionals in Identity Home Staging often encounter challenges such as tight project deadlines, balancing client expectations with design best practices, and working within budget constraints. Effective communication with clients and real estate agents is key to ensuring alignment on vision and deliverables. Flexibility and strong organizational skills help manage multiple projects simultaneously, while staying updated on design trends and local market preferences can enhance staging outcomes. Collaborating with a reliable team and vendors also ensures smooth logistics and timely completion of staging projects.

Job description

Who we are:

Vesta Home (dba Showroom Group) is changing the way that homes are marketed--and furniture is sold. We're obsessed with the client experience for our full-service offerings: interior design, luxury staging, elevated furniture rentals and custom furniture production, fueled by our proprietary technology and logistics expertise.

Founded in 2017, our team of 50+ designers creates thoughtful, stunning interiors for residential, commercial and hospitality projects. We proudly partner with top realtors, developers, the design trade and personalities on some of the most prestigious properties on the high-end market; chances are, you’ve seen our interiors in major design magazines as well as shows like Bravo's Million Dollar Listings and Netflix's Selling Sunset.

The #1 home staging brand in the country, Vesta’s design and local market depth in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and South Florida helps to sell multimillion-dollar properties faster and above ask–and allows buyers to seamlessly move into beautiful furnished spaces. The company’s interior design and custom furniture services are available worldwide.

Our Core Values:

  • Get it done!: We have a bias toward action, balancing grit with smart work to accomplish our goals. We see business challenges as opportunities, always bringing forth solutions, and believe no challenge is too great to solve collectively.
  • Design excellence: We believe exceptional design is a function of continuous improvement, and apply this purity of purpose to our process, products and people.
  • Execute in partnership, and with pride: We rise by lifting others and are most successful when our clients and colleagues are successful as well. Our team is self-motivated and committed to leading others to achieve our collective goals.
  • Invest in growth: We approach business with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are intensely focused on progress, believing profitable growth is the path forward. We “invest, not spend,” valuing impact and the efficient achievement of results.
  • Own the Outcome: We develop the most talented people, empowering them to offer a world-class experience to our clients. We deliver inspiring design in a reliable, organized and consistent manner that our clients and team can trust. We do this with a fanatical attention to detail, expecting perfection but accepting excellence.

We are seeking a highly driven and well-connected Business Development Executive to support growth within an assigned region. This role reports to the Senior Regional Sales Director and is responsible for generating net new business opportunities for the sales organization through field-based prospecting, industry networking, and relationship development within the luxury real estate and development community.

This role is focused on identifying new clients, opening new accounts, and creating qualified opportunities for the Core Sales team across our staging, luxury lease furniture rentals, furniture purchase packages, interior design, and related service offerings. • Conduct office presentations, client introductions, and in-person meetings to educate prospective clients on the company’s services and value proposition.
  • Maintain strong visibility within the local luxury real estate community by attending events, visiting brokerages, touring developments, and building industry relationships.
  • Accurately track all leads, contacts, and activities in Salesforce CRM and related systems in accordance with company standards.
  • Operate with a high level of independence while maintaining alignment with regional sales strategy and company goals.
  • Partner with Senior Regional Director, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and other internal teams to support research, outreach campaigns, and account development efforts.
  • Provide regular updates to Sales Leadership on activity levels, new opportunities, and pipeline contribution.
  • Support regional initiatives, market expansion efforts, and strategic growth programs as directed by the Senior Regional Sales Director.

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, new business sales, or a related client-facing role.
  • Proven success in a hunter-style sales or business development role focused on generating net new opportunities.
  • Strong existing relationships within the real estate, development, construction, design, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a field-based, relationship-driven sales environment.
  • Ability to independently identify and pursue new business opportunities with minimal direction.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills.
