Job description

ADT is hiring a hands-on Manager, Life Safety for a highly specialized, mission-critical team based onsite (4 days/week) in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities:

Lead a highly experienced engineering team supporting Life Safety and monitoring applications within a mission-critical environment.

Provide hands-on technical leadership across application support, troubleshooting, system enhancements, maintenance releases, and operational initiatives.

Manage planning and implementation of MasterMind monitoring upgrades and application enhancements.

Partner with business stakeholders, end users, vendors, and technical teams to support operational stability and continuous improvement efforts.

Lead technical projects, operational initiatives, and cross-functional efforts while ensuring timelines and business objectives are successfully achieved.

Support a real-time operational environment, including availability for escalated production issues when necessary.

Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and long-term technology improvements.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in enterprise applications, monitoring systems, software engineering, or related technical environments.
  • Previous experience leading technical teams or operational initiatives within a highly available or mission-critical environment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft SQL development and troubleshooting
    • Visual Studio IDE technologies, including Visual Basic
    • .NET application development and/or support
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and operational decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with MasterMind monitoring applications or similar monitoring platforms.
  • Experience within Life Safety, monitoring center, security, or other 24-hour operational environments.
  • Cloud platform exposure or experience supporting modern application environments.
