Position: Registered Nurse - Level II NICU

Unit Information

Join our dedicated team in the Level II NICU, specializing in the care of unstable newborns, primarily those born at 32 weeks gestation and greater. Our unit is committed to providing exceptional support during high-risk deliveries and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our vulnerable patients.

Shift Details

  • Shift Type: Night
  • Schedule: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Weekend Availability: Required to meet staffing needs
Floating Requirements

Floating to Postpartum and Labor & Delivery may be required based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • 1 Year of experience in a NICU setting.
  • Certifications Required: BLS, NRP.
  • Previous experience in a Level II NICU is mandatory.
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer breathing treatments and perform chest tube setup/care.
  • Utilize CPAP/BiPap equipment as necessary.
  • Administer procedure sedation and manage Rapid Sequence Intubation drugs.
  • Utilize cooling and warming blankets for patient care.
  • Manage drains and feeding tubes effectively.
  • Handle PICC/Central line placement and operation of syringe pumps.
  • Assist in GYN surgeries and provide couplet care.
  • Act as a transition nurse for newborns.
