Innovative Chemical Products Group (ICP Group) is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets. Founded in 2015 and supported by a lean corporate team, ICP Group has scaled rapidly through organic and acquisition growth into one of the largest coatings, adhesives, and sealants companies in North America. ICP Group is headquartered in Andover, MA and has manufacturing and distribution sites throughout North America, Latin America, UK, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
ICP Group is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead and expand our sales efforts in the Southern California market. This individual will be responsible for leading and driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing key customer relationships across Southern California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in roofing and waterproofing systems, a strong technical background, and a proven track record of success in sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales efforts for our roofing and waterproofing brand in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to penetrate the market and expand customer base.
  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with installation contractors, distributors, and key influencers such as general contractors, specifiers, and building owners.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and technical expertise to customers through live demonstrations, remote learning sessions, and educational presentations.
  • Utilize industry specifications, building notifications, and project plans to create and maintain a bid project pipeline.
  • Travel extensively within the region to maintain strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical services, marketing, and finance, to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, generate reports, and provide strategic recommendations for market growth.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to increase brand visibility and market penetration.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in roofing and waterproofing systems, leading successful sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow sales territories, including experience in cold calling and prospecting.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, overcome objections, and drive sales in both national and regional markets.
  • Experience with construction projects, including knowledge of installation processes, specifications, and application methods (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to track sales activities and generate reports.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region โ€“ be on the road with Territory Managers.
  • Familiarity with project specification processes and experience in selling solutions through specifications.
  • Established network within the construction and building materials industry
