Guest Services Staff

Job Purpose

This is a part time position and performs duties for a variety of positions with primary focus on excellent customer service at a busy ice rink. MUST BE AVAILABLE EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS!!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Practice excellent customer service
  • Greet all guests promptly and politely
  • Ability to give guests proper directions to the facility within local surrounding area
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and staff
  • Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately
  • Accurately handle cash and register transactions
  • Process transactions for purchases and rentals
  • Responsible for alerting managers on any discrepancies with the cash register
  • Pass out skates to guests
  • Return skates to skate racks
  • Disinfect skates
  • Clean/wipe down skates upon return
  • Use skate sharpening equipment to sharpen skates
  • Daily cleaning tasks within department
  • Required to attend all training sessions and staff meetings
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility
  • Required to be ready to work immediately at time of scheduled shift
  • Assist customers with equipment
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Cash handling experience preferred

Working Conditions

Position is located at a recreational or outdoor facility. Work may be done both indoors and outdoors. Majority of work will be done on or around ice

Physical Requirements

Position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
