Job Location: North Phoenix off I-17 and 101

Pay Rate: $23.00 hour; We offer a structured skill-based pay progression

This role supports a high-demand, seasonal market, running from late September through May. Peak periods include major holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, as well as the first few weeks of December for holiday parties. Summer months (June-August) are typically slow, with fluctuating hours based on demand. Overtime is common during peak times.

Job Purpose:

To help produce and assemble world class ice sculpture displays for backyard parties, extravagant corporate events and a wide variety of gatherings in the Metropolitan Phoenix area and beyond.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilize tools designed for ice sculpture production such as:

  • 3 axis CNC router
    • bandsaw
    • chainsaws
    • die grinders fitted with specialty ice cutting bits
    • handling ice chisels and ice picks
  • Production of, and harvesting of, 300-pound ice blocks
  • Packaging of ice displays for delivery
  • Driving delivery vehicles; pick up trucks to refrigerated 16ft trucks with lift gate
  • Setting up displays at delivery sites
  • Breaking down larger ice displays at the end of events

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically inclined, comfortable learning and running equipment, and experience using power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record in past three years. May be required to drive company vans, pickup trucks and 26ft delivery trucks occasionally.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds and team lifting up to 250 pounds.
  • CNC experience is beneficial, but not required.

Working Conditions:

The production facility is in North Phoenix - Formally an office complex that has been converted to shop and office space that is climate controlled - 3 freezers, maintained at 22-24 degrees, for production and storage. Proper freezer wear is provided if needed - May be required to work weekends and nights, as needed, for installations and peak/holiday season production - Essential physical requirements include, but are not limited to, climbing, standing, stooping. Team lifting is practiced, and lift equipment is available when needed.
