Reports To: Head of Operations, Panthers IceDen

Location: Coral Springs, Panthers IceDen

Job Summary:
At the direction of the Director of Operations, the Arena Operations Ice Technician will perform daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the events and activities at Panthers IceDen, ensuring implementation of best practices consistent with the company's current policies and procedures. This position works is to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the ice rink.

Job Functions:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Walks the entire footprint of the Panthers IceDen every day in order to ensure a clean and orderly environment, and report/make recommendations to the Director of Operations on a daily basis of any pressing issues or concerns regarding the facilities.
  • Responsible for tasks necessary to ensure safe daily operations of ice rink and related support equipment.
  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and safety of the facilities including but not limited to all lobbies and common areas, seating areas, bathrooms, locker rooms, bleachers and showers.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the equipment used at the Panthers IceDen, including: HVAC systems, natural gas water heaters, ice plant operation, Zamboni ice resurface,  carpentry and other skills as needed
  • Responsible for overseeing machinery and equipment as directed by the Director of Operations from time to time.
  • Responsible for daily Ice/Board Maintenance to conform to NHL standards
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with ice resurfacing equipment, including operation, maintenance and training preferred..
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment, maintenance procedures, tools, controls, and construction practices.
  • Candidate will meet the physical demands of the job, which include lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Candidate will have the ability to work as a team player and have good self-motivational, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Should be extremely organized and detail oriented, with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Must be able to maintain and abide by organizational confidentiality standards. 
  • Ability to work under fluid deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a Part-Time position. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and occasional holidays as needed.
