What does a typical shift working at an ice rink involve?

A typical shift at an ice rink involves a mix of maintaining the ice surface, assisting with skate rentals, monitoring guest safety, and ensuring that locker rooms and common areas are clean and organized. Staff often rotate between roles such as operating the ice resurfacer, helping customers at the front desk, and supervising public skating sessions. You may also need to set up or break down equipment for hockey games, figure skating classes, or special events. Teamwork and flexibility are important, as priorities can shift during busy periods.
