Job description

General Statement of Duties Assists the Ice Rink Facility Operations Supervisor with overseeing the rink's day-to-day ice operations and supervision of maintenance, custodial and Zamboni staff. Other duties include upkeep of the MSDS Book and complies with all OSHA requirements. Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week during the season.

Must be able to work weekday evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Qualifications Ice Maintenance Experience Required. Must possess a high school diploma and valid driver's license, plus have some related work experience including troubleshooting machinery.

Some supervisory experience preferred as will be responsible for duties in absence of the Ice Rink Facility Operations Supervisor. Demonstrated knowledge of machinery operations including Ice resurface, ice edger, power washer, skid steer, and snow blower. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, vendors, and members of the public.

Physical ability to operate the ice resurface, ice edger, power washer, snow blower, and skid steer. Job Description Assists with the coordination of ice operations, equipment maintenance and ice maintenance. Assists with training, supervising, and managing Zamboni staff.

Operates the ice resurfacer. Operates heavy equipment such as the ice edger, skid steer, power washer and snow blower as needed. Performs other physical labor as needed at ice rink.

Organizes the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) book and the OHSA requirements log. When working evening shifts, will be responsible for closing and securing the building at the end of the shift. Ensures that the rink's ice meets safety protocols and quality expectations.

Supports Town policies and philosophies. Performs other related duties as required.
