Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for daily operations in Titletown’s park and plaza, including event spaces, daily programming, and large events. Position will be required to work 40 hours per week, plus weekends and evenings based on events. This position will be six to nine months long.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Responsible for the daily summer programming requirements of the facilities department.
  • Set-up and remove tables, chairs, equipment, staging, etc. as needed for special events and park functions.
  • Assist with staff support during programs and events.
  • Work closely with programs and events departments to gather information for upcoming programs and events.
  • Review event orders and ensure accurate information is made available to facilities staff.
  • Perform daily facility checks to ensure all programing and event setups are completed.
  • Respond to additions and/or changes to set-ups in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Cleaning of buildings, grounds, and restrooms.
  • General housekeeping tasks such as cleaning tables, changing trash and picking litter.
  • Maintain a safe, inviting, and pleasant atmosphere for guests.
  • Interact with clients to provide world-class service levels.
  • Operate the following equipment: fork truck, aerial lifts, and carts – training provided.
  • Assist with preparations and install of ice rink and tubing hill.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General knowledge of the equipment and tools utilized in facilities management.
  • Possess a solid work ethic, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
  • Regular hours will include first and second shifts, some weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and events as required.
  • Possess resourcefulness, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to reach, bend, climb, and lift on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions which can include temperature and humidity extremes.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to push and/or pull heavy objects.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, and lift, for extended periods of time.
  • Operates in a professional environment.

TRAVEL: No regular travel is expected for this position.

SUPERVISES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
