Job description

General Statement of Duties Oversees facility operations including ice and facility maintenance, supervision of custodial, and Zamboni operator staff. The facility operations supervisor reports to Recreation Supervisor. Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week during the season.

Must be able to work weekday evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Qualifications Ice maintenance experience Required. Must possess a high school diploma and valid driver's license, plus 3 years of troubleshooting machinery and supervising staff.

Demonstrated knowledge of machinery operations including Ice resurfacer, ice edger, power washer, skid steer, and snow blower. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, vendors, and members of the public. Physical ability to operate the ice resurfacer, ice edger, power washer, snow blower, and skid steer.

Proven supervisory skills. Job Description Coordinates and ensures all Zamboni maintenance and Ice maintenance. Oversees training, supervising, and managing of Zamboni staff.

Operates the ice resurfacer daily. Operates heavy equipment such as the ice edger, skid steer, power washer and snow blower as needed. Performs other physical labor as needed at ice rink.

Manages the arena and cleaning staff when manager is not on duty. When working evening shifts, will be responsible for closing and securing the building at the end of the shift. Ensures that the rink's ice meets safety protocols and quality expectations.

Assists rink manager with rink supervision. Complies with all OSHA requirements. Supports Town policies and philosophies.

Performs other related duties as required.
