Job description

In this fast paced, innovation driven environment, the incumbent will:
- Design, implement, and secure next generation IT infrastructure solutions.
- Standardize and streamline processes across classified environments.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to accelerate product development for U.S. Department of War missions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and industry best practices.
- The role is critical to enabling Lockheed Martin to deliver higher quality, mission critical solutions more rapidly. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine updates, major upgrades, patching, and vulnerability scanning
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure hardware/software lifecycle compliance
- Enforce DoD policies, including STIG and RMF requirements
- Implement security hardening, remediate findings, and conduct technical security implementations
- Provide timely resolution of infrastructure issues (hardware, software, networking)
- Update Service Central tickets, JIRA issues, and Confluence pages with accurate status, work performed details, and any changes to scope, priority, or assignment; attach relevant artifacts and ensure traceability to requirements or incidents.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (customers, engineers, and support leads) to verify resolution, close tickets or issues promptly, and communicate any follow up actions or documentation updates across all three platforms.
- Design and implement innovative technical solutions to complex problems
- Support classified customer demonstration environments and lab testbeds, ensuring readiness and performance for stakeholder reviews
- Document system configurations, procedures, and lessons learned
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge base growth
- Participate in a 24 × 7 on call rotation; work off shift hours and weekends as needed
- Work onsite full time with occasional travel to other facilities or customer sites
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
- Demonstrated experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows & Linux Client/Server operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory administration and Group Policy Object configuration.
- IAT Level II (8570 compliant) certification (Security+ or equivalent certification)
- Proven classified infrastructure support and administration experience
- Experience with DoD requirements and processes including Risk Management Framework requirements within classified environments.
Desired Skills:
- IAT Level II (8570 compliant) certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- 3 + years administering and supporting enterprise class, classified IT infrastructure
- Production level support for Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems and enterprise networks
- Installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of physical and virtual infrastructure (VMware NSX/vSAN/Horizon/ARIA, private/public clouds, SAN/NAS, VDI, NetApp, Dell VxRail/HCI)
- Management of endpoint security with McAfee E Policy Orchestrator/Trellix Endpoint Security
- Imaging and deployment using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Windows OS imaging processes
- Use of engineering requirements tools (IBM Rational DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion)
- Modeling and simulation with MATLAB/Simulink, SysML/UML, and MBSE tools (IBM Rational Rhapsody, Cameo Systems Modeler, PTC Integrity)
- Configuration of certificates for web servers (IIS, Apache, Nginx), load balancers, VPN gateways, and client authentication systems; Windows Server AD Certificate Services installation and hardening
- Administration of Linux/Unix PKI solutions (OpenSSL, EJBCA, Dogtag, step ca)
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including AD Integrated device/user enrollment policies
- Network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting expertise
- Automation and scripting with Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python (or similar)
- Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, vulnerability management, patching, and security hardening processes
- Experience with ITSM/ITOM tools (e.g., Aria Operations) and DoD Cloud Computing SRG compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
- Active Top Secret (or higher) clearance required at hire; must remain eligible throughout employment , U.S. citizen, candidates must also be eligible to undergo a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph.
