You'll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your role and responsibilities
At IBM, Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You'll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You'll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
The Solution Architect is responsible for working closely with customers to understand mission-critical company directives and develop technical solutions to support the business needs and technical requirements, then apply AI solutions to address the needs. This role is specifically required to use a mix of consultative skills, technical expertise, and the latest IBM AI software to guide customers in building solutions involving agentic AI. This includes:
  • Reviewing customers' environment to ensure it meets all pre-requisites
  • Helping define customers' Agentic AI use cases
  • Helping assess customers Agentic AI application requirements
  • Assisting customers with designing and implementing Agentic AI applications
  • Throughout the solutioning process, the Solution Architect will participate workshops to help customers understand advantages of proposed solutions and best practice approaches to Agentic AI including prompt-engineering, chatbot development, and search/information retrieval.

Required technical and professional expertise
-Background (courses or work experience) in LLM AI models and platforms (e.g. watsonx.ai).
-Background (courses or work experience) with conversational and agentic AI Background (courses or work experience) with software development (Java, Python)
-Good communication and writing skills.
-Ability to understand customer requirements and pain points and ability to apply AI to best address them
-Bachelor Degree in AI or related STEM field.
Preferred technical and professional experience
-Experience with Data Science and traditional AI/ML modeling evaluation (classification, regression)
