About the Role
As a Sr. Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data integration solutions that support Medicare and Medicaid claims processing. You will be a valued member of the integration team and work collaboratively with business analysts, claims domain experts, testing teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant healthcare integration solutions.
In This Role, You Will
  • Design and implement scalable data integration solutions using IBM ACE ESQL and IBM Integration Bus to support Medicare and Medicaid claims processing.
  • Develop and optimize message flows, transformations, and integration services that improve data quality, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Translate Medicare and Medicaid claims requirements into technical designs and integration specifications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues while performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Develop reusable integration components, mappings, and error-handling frameworks to support multiple claims processing scenarios.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to validate end-to-end integrations and ensure the accuracy of claims transactions.
  • Implement logging, auditing, exception handling, and traceability solutions to support compliance and operational requirements.
  • Document integration architectures, message models, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
  • Support deployment, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning activities across IBM integration environments.
  • Share best practices, coding standards, and integration patterns with peers and project teams.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • 6-10 years of experience in enterprise data integration and application integration environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM ACE ESQL and IBM Integration Bus.
  • Experience developing message flows, transformations, integrations, and reusable components within IBM integration platforms.
  • Deep understanding of Medicare and Medicaid claims processing, including claims lifecycles, healthcare data requirements, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience designing and implementing integration solutions within complex transactional environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills across multiple interconnected systems.
  • Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring of IBM integration solutions.
  • Experience with integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of healthcare claims data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, operational procedures, and support materials.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $102,000 - $116,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
