Job description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant IT software experience (hands on technical development).
  • Deep understanding of multi-tier architectures and exposure to Java/J2EE, JavaScript/CSS, JUnit.
  • Must have strong background on Java core development, working knowledge with WAS, Tomcat app servers.
  • Cloud: Must have experience on Cloud environments, knowledge on Kubernetes containers, microservices development using Spring boot.
  • Experience in containerization using Docker or Padman . Knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) is a plus.
  • Database: RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, ETL.
  • OS: Linux, windows.
  • Prior experience of working on core java middleware process and IBM ODM rule development.
  • Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a Senior Level JAVA developer with relational database experience working for the Business Rules management system.
  • This position requires core Java Development, experience with writing rules using IBM ODM product, Production Analysis the ability of forward thinking.
  • This position also requires cross functional activity and integration with the LOB, Application Developers, Architects, and Infrastructure partners.
  • Strong communication skills will be needed to ensure the correct work is delivered in a timely manner. This environment can be fast paced at times.
  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery.
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team member role (as an individual contributor).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the requirement, design scalable, fault tolerant, performant, and secure solution.
  • Lead the low-level technical design and ensure overall code quality, conducting code reviews to maintain high development standards
  • Ensure deployment readiness, focusing on production preparation, performance optimization and addressing database tasks for smooth delivery.
  • Manage defects and collaborate with developers, testers, and business analysts to ensure timely resolution and successful release delivery.
  • Ensure the solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
