Overall, it is accessible to those starting their careers in cybersecurity or IT support.

What jobs can I get with an associate's degree in health information management?

An associate's degree in health information management prepares individuals for roles such as health information technician, medical records technician, or health data analyst. These jobs involve managing patient records, ensuring data accuracy, and using electronic health record (EHR) systems, often requiring knowledge of coding, privacy regulations, and data management tools.

How much does IAM pay?

The salary for an IAM (Identity and Access Management) associate typically ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and certifications such as CISSP or CISA. Entry-level positions may start lower, while experienced professionals or those in high-demand areas can earn higher salaries.

To thrive as an IAM Associate, you need a solid understanding of identity and access management principles, cybersecurity fundamentals, and typically a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with IAM tools such as Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, or SailPoint, as well as relevant certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), is highly beneficial.
