Job description

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking an IT Enterprise Architect with strong experience in .NET, Azure and MS Dynamics Technologies for an onsite position in Long Island City, NY. Active LinkedIn preferred. May change to hybrid after 90 days. The right candidate will lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The selected consultant will define and execute high-level architectural strategy while remaining hands-on in technical design, code review, DevOps automation, and Secure SDLC governance. This role requires a senior-level architect with deep .NET expertise, strong Azure DevOps experience, and proven leadership in mentoring engineering teams while driving best practices and technical excellence.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience
• Minimum 5+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience with deep full-stack .NET expertise
• Expert-level proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET 8+, and modern full-stack development
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services including AKS, App Services, and Azure Functions
• Experience with SQL, database management, and data visualization solutions
• Proven experience leading peer and architectural code reviews
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline design and automation
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for environment consistency
• Experience architecting and integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerApps solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Secure SDLC (S-SDLC), including SAST/DAST integration and vulnerability scanning
• Experience mitigating OWASP risks through security-focused code reviews
• Experience establishing governance models, architectural standards, and digital transformation frameworks
• Experience defining and enforcing UI/UX design systems across custom Blazor/React applications and Power Platform solutions
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and upskill senior-level engineering talent
Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Power Platform Solution Architect certification (preferred)


SCOPE OF SERVICES

• Define enterprise architecture blueprints for custom .NET applications and integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerApps
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with business objectives
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with architectural standards and oversight of transformation initiatives
• Lead rigorous architectural code reviews for major .NET and Azure releases, ensuring clean code principles and performance optimization
• Design, implement, and maintain automated Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure scalable and consistent environments
• Integrate Secure SDLC controls within development pipelines, including SAST/DAST and vulnerability scanning
• Perform security-focused code reviews to proactively mitigate application vulnerabilities
• Establish and enforce a unified UI Design System across enterprise applications
• Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) using C#/.NET 8+ to validate new architectural patterns and complex integrations
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend pilots or implementations to enhance enterprise capabilities
