Job description

Reverse Engineer

Two Six Technologies is looking for reverse/research engineers interested in applying to its cyber programs. These programs consist of mission driven engineering work with direct feedback from stakeholders. Each task order is affiliated with a specific mission need, not contributing to shelfware. New opportunities are always becoming available, and each applicant will be considered on a continuing basis. Positions are available in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA, and Arlington, VA.

You will provide reverse engineering, static and dynamic binary analysis, and vulnerability analysis of cybersecurity software utilizing IDA Pro and Ghidra. You will write proof-of-concept software that simulates the behavior of analyzed binaries and their interactions with other system components and validate any discovered vulnerabilities within the software. You will author technical documentation of research or findings as it relates to all security mechanisms, including access control, encryption, and obfuscation.

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years of reverse engineering x86, x64, or ARM binaries using IDA Pro, Ghidra, or similar tool
  • 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++, Python, and/or x86, x64, ARM Assembly
  • Understanding of modern security features utilized by Windows or Linux operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing debugging tools such as GDB, WinDbg, OllyDbg, etc.

Nice to Have

  • Malware analysis experience
  • Vulnerability research or analysis experience
  • Deep understanding of network protocols or Inter-Process Communication (IPC)
  • Development experience of IDA/Ghidra scripts to aid in reverse engineering efforts
  • Familiarity with any RTOS and embedded systems
