Job description

Sr. Manager, Data Analytics (AI-Integrated Analytics)
Location: Los Angeles, CA

The Ideal Candidate: You are an organized self-starter with a keen business sense who loves digging into data to understand trends and performance. You have a passion for manipulating large volumes of data, building dashboards, and maintaining a consistent focus on operational efficiency. You easily understand requirements, communicate the progress of your work, and apply the 80/20 rule to maintain a bias for action.
Crucially, you do not just use traditional analytics tools-you are an AI-forward practitioner. You actively use generative AI to accelerate documentation, automate manual SQL and reporting tasks, prototype visual dashboards, and refine team workflows. You are a collaborative teammate who thrives in a rapidly changing environment and wants to join a company that offers a ton of opportunities to build both your analytical and AI technical skills.

Role Overview: The Sr. Manager's primary role is to drive insights and analysis support. You will provide guidance to other analysts on the team and work closely with business owners to interpret key performance metrics. In this role, you will operate within a dynamic, project-oriented environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.

To scale your impact, you will systematically integrate applied AI technologies into the team's daily processes. This includes utilizing LLMs, AI code editors, and custom agents to dramatically speed up data mining, automate SQL workflows, and improve the speed and clarity of insights delivered to business stakeholders. Strong analytical, AI-prompting, and communication skills are critical for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Analytics & Visualization: Deliver high-impact performance summaries, trend analyses, and visualization dashboards using Tableau, SQL, and Excel. Use AI-assisted code editors to quickly scaffold visual prototypes and write optimized SQL queries.
  • AI Workflow Integration: Identify repetitive manual steps within legacy analytics workflows and design AI-assisted processes to reduce friction, speed up data intake, and automate QA checklists.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor other analysts in SQL, data visualization, and the application of practical AI tools to elevate team output and efficiency.
  • Executive Presentation & Documentation: Leverage AI tools to convert complex technical analyses, requirements, and stakeholder feedback into clear, executive-ready presentations, summaries, and action plans. Deliver these findings directly to C-level executives.
  • Product & Marketing Insights: Perform deep-dive analyses on web traffic, email, and app engagement data to measure success (click-through rates, retention, re-engagement, and A/B testing). Provide digital marketing teams with actionable recommendations on ROI and behavior segmentation.
  • AI Agent Deployment: Deploy and configure workflow assistants or knowledge-retrieval agents (such as Microsoft Copilot) to streamline recurring documentation, FAQ responses, and internal data requests.
  • Governance & Human-in-the-Loop Quality Control: Serve as the final authority on all AI-generated outputs. Ensure strict compliance with data privacy policies, fact-check AI-drafted reports, and maintain robust version control.
  • Agile Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to design flexible, automated solutions to continuously improve the company's analytical capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Analytical Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in an analytical role solving complex business and web-behavior problems.
  • Team Management: Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and prioritizing workloads for other analysts.
  • Core Technical Stack:
    • Highly proficient (4+ years) in SQL for data analysis.
    • Highly proficient (3+ years) creating and optimizing Tableau workbooks.
    • Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Web Analytics Fluency: Extensive experience with digital marketing and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Applied AI Fluency:
    • Practical experience using direct chat interfaces (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot) for iterative data synthesis, structured problem-solving, and prompt engineering.
    • Familiarity with AI-assisted code tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf) to accelerate front-end dashboard creation, SQL scripting, or basic platform prototyping.
    • Experience setting up AI-assisted workflows or simple automated agents with human-in-the-loop validation checkpoints.
  • Communication & Business Sense: Outstanding ability to translate complex quantitative metrics into clear, precise, and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Governance Mindset: Clear understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory boundaries when utilizing generative AI tools with business datasets.
