Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Fixed Assets Senior Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for leading fixed asset transactions, key accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month‑end close, and driving process improvements across the Shared Services Center. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments 

What Shared Services Does: 
A Shared Services Center (SSC) centralizes essential business processes, creating streamlined operations, cost efficiencies, and consistent quality. By consolidating areas such as finance, procurement, payroll, and reporting, SSC fosters innovation, supports strategic goals, and enhances organizational effectiveness. SSC’s primary functions include: 

  • O2C (Order-to-Cash): Ensures smooth revenue processes from customer order to payment. 
  • R2R (Record-to-Report): Provides accurate financial reporting and robust accounting processes. 
  • P2P (Procure-to-Pay): Ensures timely payments to vendors and strengthens supplier relationships. 
  • Center of Excellence: Champions innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Shared Services empowers companies to focus on strategic priorities while maintaining operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and operate the Fixed Asset Register: Ensure accurate tracking, classification, and reporting of all fixed assets. 
  • Process asset transactions: Handle additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, adjustments and asset depreciation in compliance with company policy and accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP). 
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations: Reconcile fixed assets with the general ledger and ensure timely close processes. 
  • Support audit requirements: Prepare reports and provide documentation for internal and external audits, including compliance with SOX policies. 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with P2P and operations to ensure accurate asset management and reporting. 
  • Ensure strong internal controls: Implement and monitor controls within the asset management process to prevent errors. 
  • Prepare monthly fixed asset accruals 
  • Support ERP system integration: Work with systems like SAP or CoStar to manage asset data and reporting. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to optimize accounting processes. 
  • Assist with month-end closing, reconciliations, and preparation of journal and general ledger entries. 
  • Identify and promote process improvements, including automation initiatives, to gain efficiency. 
  • Monitor adherence to accounting controls and operational safeguards. 
  • Provide guidance to team members as needed. 
  • Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, supporting professional development and innovative thinking within the team. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required).  
  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance preferred 

Experience:  

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience 
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls 
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Hyperion and SmartView) 
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment 

Skills:  

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations 
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP 
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including additions, retirements, depreciation, and CIP tracking 
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analyses to support internal and external reporting requirements 
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries 
  • Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance, training, and mentorship 
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes 
  • Participate in system enhancements, testing, and process automation initiatives 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal control 
  • Experience with fixed assets, project accounting, or capital reporting 
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools (Hyperion, Essbase, etc.) 
  • Process improvement or system implementation experience 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and business partner
