Job description

Job Summary:
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Advisor / Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administrator to support corporate financial teams across multiple departments in the United States and internationally. This advisory-level role requires significant experience in administration, development, and process improvement across the Oracle EPM suite, including on-premise Essbase and Financial Close and Consolidation Cloud Service (FCCS). The role involves close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality financial systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer day-to-day operations of Oracle EPM systems, including FCCS and Essbase
  • Design, develop, and modify system modules and components based on business requirements
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and ensure data quality across financial systems
  • Facilitate meetings to gather and clarify project and business requirements
  • Devise strategic solutions to resolve system issues while maintaining operational stability
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • Provide accurate workload estimates and delivery timelines for assigned projects
  • Participate in daily standups and design meetings with the Data Solutions team
  • Serve as the primary support resource for after-hours support, as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university
  • 15 or more years of experience as an Oracle Hyperion Essbase developer or administrator with both ASO and BSO (strong ASO expertise required)
  • Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proficiency in scripting and query languages including MaxL, MDX, PowerShell, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with FCCS; Dodeca experience preferred
  • Functional and technical consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple complex initiatives
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership
  • US Citizenship is required
