Job description

Employment Type:Part timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Hyperbaric Technician, Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine - Outpatient.
Part Time: 8 hour shifts / 40 Hours a pay period. A pay periods is every 2 weeks.
Reporting to the Supervisor Wound & Hyperbaric, Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine, this position will act as the attendant and control operator administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician using mono-place hyperbaric chamber(s). The Hyperbaric Technician works collaboratively with Lead Hyperbaric Technician and Center disciplines, preparing all patients referred for treatment; documenting all care provided according to Hospital/Center policies, including but not limited to patient assessment, treatment education, and patient safety guidelines. The Hyperbaric Technician is also responsible for essential hyperbaric chamber maintenance.

PAY RANGE: $28.22 - 39.53

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. EMT, DMT, LVN, RN, or RT is required.
3. Certification as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) is required within two years of hire into position.
4. Ability to lift and transfer patients into Hyperbaric Chamber is required.
5. Good computer skills and ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
6. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
7. Ability to perform finger stick blood glucose testing as allowed by an approved governing body is preferred.
