Strong analytical skills, knowledge of industry software, and an understanding of production processes are essential for success in this field.

What does a hydrocarbon accountant do?

Hydrocarbon Accountants are responsible for tracking the movement and allocation of oil, gas, and other hydrocarbons from production to sale, ensuring all volumes are accurately accounted for and reported. On a daily basis, they reconcile production data, validate transactions, prepare regulatory and partner reports, and troubleshoot discrepancies with operations or field staff.
