CDL Driver / Equipment Operator


Position Summary

Shaw Construction Corporation and East Coast Infrastructure are hiring CDL professionals for different operating divisions. While both positions require a commitment to safety, professionalism, and DOT compliance, the primary duties differ by company.


Shaw Construction Corporation - CDL Driver

·         Operate lowboy trailers to transport heavy construction equipment.

·         Operate flatbed trucks to transport construction materials and supplies.

·         Operate dump trucks for aggregate, soil, asphalt, and construction materials.

·         Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment in compliance with DOT requirements.

·         Support municipal utility, pump station, and heavy civil construction projects.


East Coast Infrastructure - Vactor Truck Driver / Operator

·         Operate Vactor trucks for hydro excavation, sewer cleaning, storm drain cleaning, catch basin cleaning, and related municipal services.

·         Perform pre-job inspections and safely operate vacuum and high-pressure water systems.

·         Maintain hoses, nozzles, pumps, and vacuum equipment.

·         Work with field crews on underground utility and infrastructure projects.

Requirements (Both Positions)

·         Valid Class A CDL is required.

·         Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

·         Acceptable driving record meeting company insurance requirements.

·         Ability to pass required DOT drug and alcohol testing.

·         Construction experience preferred.

·         Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel to project locations as needed.

·         Additional CDL endorsements may be required for Vactor truck operation.


Preferred Qualifications

·         Shaw Construction: Experience hauling heavy equipment with lowboys, operating flatbeds, and driving dump trucks.


·         East Coast Infrastructure: Previous Vactor truck operating experience, hydro excavation, sewer cleaning, or municipal utility maintenance experience strongly preferred.
