Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.
What you will be doing:
The Sr. BI Developer will be responsible for elevating the lives of each Helen of Troy employee by crafting analytical tools that drive decision-making at every level of the organization and using our data assets to drive actions and insights.
  • Understand HELE's vision, strategies, and organizational priorities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Build/Propose solutions that enable data-driven decision-making within HELE.
  • Understand business models, data sources, system infrastructure.
  • Design and implement robust Power BI Architectures that empower organization-wide self-service reporting and ad-hoc data exploration.
  • Design and Implement a Power BI COE in partnership with key partners within different business departments and functions.
  • Apply a hands-on approach to build and lead the key analytical assets needed for the organization.
  • Develop scalable Power BI data models that drive strategic decision-making and deliver measurable business value.
  • Optimally delegate and use repartees and other individuals (consultants/onsite/offshore) and ensure accountability to delivering timely solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are adequately embraced and used by the business groups.
  • Ensure accountability with various partners who are contributing to building Power BI solutions.
  • Adoption and use of agile methodologies for all activities.
  • Design and implement proven methods for DevOps and project management including vital metrics and measures.
  • Incorporate proven methods for governing Power BI solutions including the use of a business glossary, standard KPI, business definitions, etc.
  • Guide and support team members and business users in building their own reports on top of scalable Power BI models.
  • Stay updated with the latest data trends and technologies to enhance our BI capabilities continuously.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:
  • Ability to connect with various audiences with varying degrees of technical expertise.
  • Strong planning, priority setting, and project management skills to balance multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
  • Over 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI as an enterprise platform.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end Power BI solutions within a complex Enterprise IT ecosystem, including integration with centralized data platforms, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), and governed data models.
  • Prior knowledge of a domain such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.
  • Experience working within Agile Methodology.
  • Experience with innovative solutions, problem-solving, and working across diverse groups and domains.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree/MBA.
  • 2+ years leading BI teams or managing cross-functional BI initiatives.
  • Related Experience in CPG/Hard Goods/Retail Industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in crafting and building a scalable BI infrastructure.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with designing and implementing a modern data platform architecture.
  • Experience in creating and managing a Power BI CoE.

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $111,791- $167,687 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
