Job description

The Hydro Test Supervisor working for Wyoming Casing Service, Inc. is in charge of leading work crews in the preparation and carrying out of hydro-testing, pipe cleaning and blowing works for gas pipelines, including review of drawing, prefab, pipe erection and other activities required to complete the assigned scope of work.

3-5 Years' experience in Hydro Testing required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • A Hydro Test Supervisor for the corporation is responsible to make sure that all job operations are following safety, environmental safety and government directives.
  • Maintain Hydro test units and associated tools
  • Train new employees how to maintain the Hydro test unit as well as the proper procedures for dressing tools.
  • Maintain the trucks and all logs.
  • Prepare trucks so they have all the necessary tools and supplies (packer rubbers, O-rings, water savers, etch) prior to heading out to location.
  • Train new operators on proper rig up, rig down and hydro test operations.
  • Instruct on proper ticket completion and submittal.
  • Assist operators with any minor repairs to hydro test unit and tools.
  • Take job calls and gather all information such as tubing pressure, size of tubing, time and location.
  • This position requires responsibility for all jobs up to and including timely completion, employee relations on the job site, follow through to both the company we are contracted to as well as this corporation.
  • They must coordinate with DOT, Safety and Human Resources to ensure that all parties are aware of any and all issues that may arise with an employee, jobsite or fleet vehicle.
  • Work directly with Safety and DOT in regards to on the job accidents that require investigation and recording.
  • Manage all crews to ensure that the employee concerns, complaints and suggestions are channeled through the proper management team member.
  • Any and all tasks assigned by Management.
