Job description

Summary/Objective 

EnviroSmart is seeking a qualified Industrial Services Superintendent to support the Industrial Services division in the Hopewell, Virginia, and surrounding areas. Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience performing and overseeing hydro blasting and leading crews of 3 or more technicians.  The Superintendent must be qualified to manage multiple industrial service crews at different sites, with direct experience operating industrial vacuum units and high-pressured water-blast units to perform industrial cleaning.  Performance is measured for Safety, Quality, and Value delivered to the project and company.  Working conditions include outside work, extreme temperatures, noisy conditions, shift work, flexible schedules and 24/7 on-call availability.

Essential Functions

  • Manage Safety, Quality, and Value for all industrial service-related project performance activities
  • Vacuum Equipment Operations
  • Operate large Industrial Cleaning Equipment and Vehicles
  • Hydro blasting
  • Other industrial cleaning related activities
  • Manage Scheduling and Logistics for Multiple Crews

Certifications/Training/ Licensure 

  • 30 Hour OSHA (Required)
  • MSHA (Required)
  • Confined Space Entry (Required)
  • 40-HR HAZWOPER (Preferred but will train)
  • Forklift Certified (Preferred but not required)

Required Eligibility Qualifications

  • 10+ Years Management Experience in the Industrial Field
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
  • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license (Required)

 Physical Demands

Must be able to:

  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to physically control industrial hydro blasting and vacuum equipment
  • Able to carry industrial hoses (up to 60 lbs) up and down multiple flights of stairs
  • Ability to work in varying (extreme) temperatures, depending upon season
  • Must complete all pre and post training including safety, new hire, and regulatory

 Hours of Work

  • Shift work, flexible schedules and 24/7 on-call availability
  • Typical week will consist of Monday - Friday, 8-10 hours per day

Travel

  • Must be able to commute to job site each day
  • Must be able to stay out of town for multiple nights at a time 

 Supervisory Responsibility

  • Responsible for managing crews consisting of multiple vacuum truck drivers, technicians, and laborers
  • Responsibility includes timesheet review and approval, project performance metrics (safety, quality, value), recruiting/hiring, and effective execution of work schedules
