Join a team dedicated to maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers modern data centers. As a Critical Systems Technician II, HVAC, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of HVAC systems that support essential operations. This position offers the opportunity to expand your technical skills while working with advanced equipment in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn, values teamwork, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties of an HVAC Technician I, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure with minimal supervision.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings to support system maintenance and repairs.
  • Support air and water balancing efforts to optimize energy use and maintain occupant comfort.
  • Gain hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including:
    • Air and water-cooled reciprocating chillers
    • Centrifugal and screw package chillers
    • Natural gas boilers and unit heaters
    • Electric duct heaters
    • Cooling towers
    • Pneumatic, DDC, and Variable Frequency Drive controls
    • HVAC air distribution systems, including AHUs, FCUs, fans, and related devices
    • Various types of water pumps used in HVAC applications
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor to support facility operations.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the role.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience required; 4 years preferred
  • Knowledge of refrigeration principles
  • Strong understanding of basic electricity as it applies to HVAC systems and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain security clearance preferred
