Job description

Position Overview
A Commercial HVAC Mechanical Installer responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems while also assisting in sheet metal work as needed. This role requires adaptability, technical expertise across multiple trades, and the ability to travel for projects.
Primary Responsibilities
• HVAC & Mechanical Installation: Install complex commercial HVAC systems, including DX and Hydronic systems, VRF systems and ventilation components.
• Sheet Metal Installation: Install and fabricate ductwork and related components.
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Utilize excavators, backhoes, rigging and trenching equipment
• Job Site Preparation & Support: Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for commercial installations and service calls.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and local building codes on all projects.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service reports.
Key Competencies
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of HVAC and Mechanical installation, design, press joints, solder joints and Victaulic connections.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess issues and provide effective solutions in the field as well as read plans and understand specifications for projects.
• Teamwork & Communication: Works well with supervisors, coworkers, and clients to complete projects efficiently.
• Time Management: Ability to complete tasks within industry-standard timeframes while maintaining quality.
• Adaptability: Willingness to take on various tasks across different trades as needed.
• Attention to Detail: Ensures quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of working in physically demanding environments, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working at heights.
Qualifications
• Experience: 2+ years of Commercial HVAC or Mechanical installation and fabrication experience required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licenses:
o A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Travel: Must be willing and able to travel.
Working Conditions
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (staggered work schedules may be required). Overtime and overnight travel may be required based on project needs.

• Environment: Job sites may include indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to weather, dust, and noise. Work may be performed in tight spaces, elevated locations, and various construction environments.
