Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

This position involves traveling to customer locations to perform service, repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations while providing professional and courteous customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical problems
  • Service walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, display cases, ice machines, and related equipment
  • Diagnose and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, controls, and refrigeration components
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Recover, evacuate, charge, and leak-test refrigeration systems as required
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate repair recommendations and equipment conditions to customers
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable refrigerant regulations
  • Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls when scheduled

Qualifications

  • Previous experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • EPA 608 certification required or preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in confined or temperature-controlled spaces
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • HVAC/R schooling or technical training is a plus
