Job Summary
Instructors for related practical and theory in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration instruction; this is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Instruction will occur at the Wilson County branch campus in Lebanon.
Job Duties
HVAC/R instructors are responsible for assisting with the coordination and evaluation of all phases of the College's HVAC/R program. Physically able to lift, stoop, stand, and walk to demonstrate and perform all work based projects required. The HVAC/R Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing individualized classroom and lab instruction to students to prepare them to become HVAC/R technicians. The Instructor must also maintain good public relations with business and industry, maintain an active advisory committee and cooperate with outside agencies. In addition, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, team player who is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and whose career objectives include being a member of a dynamic and growing institution that has a vision to expand its services and increase its offerings to the citizens, businesses and industries in its service area. Hours and days will vary.
Minimum Qualifications
High School or GED. Associate Degree and teaching experience preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years in residential and/or commercial HVAC/R field.
Evidence in instructional program management and supervision, teaching and curriculum building is desired.
Evidence of proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
Must have good organizational and planning skills.
Must be willing to remain current in the HVAC/R profession.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationship
with students, faculty, staff and general public.
