Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Installer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and 3+ years of experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. As an HVAC Installer Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. This is role is focused on Retrofits, Changeouts, and New Construction.

Experience working in central plants and with chilled water systems is a plus.

This is not a seasonal position; it is permanent and full-time. Wage will be based on experience and discussed during the interview. Applicant must have a clean AZ Driver's license and be drug free.

Skyline Mechanical takes pride in the work and services we provide to our clients. Applicants need to share the same belief. We will provide training in house on any applications you may not be familiar with. Many of our existing service team have been with us for over 15 years.

Current Open Positions:

Install Tech (3+ years of experience): Grooved iron pipe, WSHP systems install, RTU replacements, piping layout knowledge, cooling tower replacements and various other commercial installations.

General Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems, identifying issues related to mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all installations and repairs.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to plumb, weld, and refrigerate as necessary for system installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Installer Technician role in the heating and cooling industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose HVAC systems effectively.
  • Ability to perform property maintenance tasks related to HVAC installations.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, welding, and refrigerating techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
