Lead HVAC Technician โ€“ Commercial & ResidentialOverview

Bleuwave HVAC is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and energetic Lead HVAC Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and residential HVAC/R systems across a variety of projects and property types.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to commercial and residential job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems.
  • Troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical system issues.
  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial and residential HVAC equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform HVAC system modifications and retrofit installations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and related equipment.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, and welding tools when necessary.
  • Complete service calls and work orders efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Assist with training and supporting junior technicians when needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service and repair experience preferred.
  • Strong background in commercial and residential HVAC systems.
  • Experience with refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with system installations, retrofits, and preventative maintenance.
  • EPA Certification required.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with clean driving record.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in the field.
  • Experience in property management, commercial facilities, or service operations preferred.
