Job description

Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Company: Mr. C Refrigeration
Pay: $35-$55/hour, based on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time

About Mr. C Refrigeration

Mr. C Refrigeration provides installation, emergency repair, and preventative maintenance services for commercial and industrial refrigeration, cold storage, and HVAC equipment. We're looking for experienced HVAC/R technicians who can confidently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial equipment while providing dependable service to our customers.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician, you'll work independently in the field servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections

  • Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment

  • Identify the root cause of equipment failures and complete necessary repairs

  • Test systems after repairs to ensure safe and proper operation

  • Communicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly with customers

  • Complete service documentation accurately and on time

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

  • Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned service area

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R service experience preferred

  • EPA Certification required

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment

  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities

  • Professional communication and customer service skills

  • Valid driver's license

  • Technical school HVAC/R training or equivalent field experience preferred

  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field position requiring the ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull; lift or move up to 50 pounds; climb ladders and work at elevated heights; and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
