Residential HVAC Installation Apprentice

The Frazier Company | Omaha, NE

Build a Career

The Frazier Company is seeking a motivated Residential HVAC Installation Apprentice to join our growing team. As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced Lead Installers learning residential HVAC installation while building a long-term career.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and indoor coils.

  • Install ductwork, venting, refrigerant line sets, drain piping, and equipment supports.

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and seal ductwork.

  • Transport, unload, and stage equipment and materials.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment safely.

  • Learn brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, thermostat installation, and low-voltage wiring.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.

  • Protect customers' homes during installation.

  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies.

  • Complete installation checklists and maintain tools and vehicles.

  • Work professionally with homeowners, builders, and coworkers.

  • Attend training and perform other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

  • Pass background check and drug screening.

  • Lift 75 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoors.

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

  • Reliable attendance and transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) months or more of residential HVAC installation experience preferred.

  • HVAC trade school or vocational education.

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC tools and equipment.

  • Construction or mechanical experience.

  • EPA Section 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Blueprint reading and customer service skills.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $18.00–$22.00/hour DOE.
