Job description

Clayton Services is searching for an HVAC Helper to join a thriving company in North Houston. The HVAC Helper will be responsible for inspecting, preparing, tagging, and staging HVAC equipment to ensure it meets company and customer quality standards.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour plus OT
Benefits: Excellent benefits available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:45 PM - 3:15 AM with weekend availability
HVAC Helper Responsibilities:

  • Inspect new HVAC equipment for damage, completeness, and readiness
  • Apply tags, decals, GPS labels, and identification markings per company requirements
  • Prepare equipment for outbound shipment, ensuring it is properly configured for customer use
  • Verify all labeling and documentation prior to shipment
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered shop equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
  • Follow all safety procedures, shop policies, and quality standards
  • Clock in and out accurately using the designated timekeeping system
  • Work scheduled shifts, including occasional weekends as workload requires
