Job description

Commercial HVAC Technician
Location: Rochester, NY 14647
Pay: $30-$32/hr
Join a team supporting commercial building operations with hands-on HVAC, mechanical, and building systems work. This role offers the opportunity to work across HVAC, boilers, controls, plumbing, and other building systems.
Job Duties
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and cooling equipment.
* Operate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and related control systems to support building performance.
* Manage HVAC projects while meeting deadlines, budgets, safety requirements, and quality standards.
* Support related MEP systems, including plumbing and electrical components, as well as HVAC-related carpentry and painting work.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong mechanical and construction knowledge with hands-on commercial HVAC experience.
* Experience with boilers, ventilation, refrigerants, refrigeration systems, plumbing, and cooling towers.
* Understanding of HVAC controls, electrical equipment, Building Management Systems, and fire/life safety systems.
* Knowledge of engineering design processes, project management, energy management, and workplace safety practices.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Experience using AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit for HVAC system planning and design.
* Experience working with integrated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
