About the Role

Allied Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This full-time role covers diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to keep systems running at peak performance
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC equipment
  • Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats
  • Read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Keep clients and teammates informed on service findings and next steps
  • Log service work accurately, including parts used and system condition
  • Follow all safety, code, and company compliance requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or technical training a plus
  • 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar role
  • Solid grasp of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components
  • EPA 608 certification
  • Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel between job sites

Preferred:

  • NATE certification or equivalent
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment
