Job description

Hurricane Shutter Electrician & Service Technician

Join our winning team, High Velocity-Category 5, the industry leader in hurricane protection and wind abatement systems. In this role you will be responsible for the installation and proper/safe operation of all electrical components, wiring, breakers etc on a variety of motorized hurricane protection solutions including motorized accordion shutters, rolling shutters, roller screens and awnings. As a member of the service crew, you will also perform repair and maintenance on a variety of hurricane protection solutions including accordion shutters, rolling shutters, roller screens and awnings.
In this role you will be required to:

  • Install, troubleshoots and repair electrical components in high-rise condos and single family homes related to the installation of motorized hurricane protection (roll shutters, screens, awnings etc)
  • Install electrical components and wiring
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues

· Troubleshoot, repair, replace our various hurricane protection solutions to include basic mechanical and/or electrical repair

  • Program motors and controls for roll shutters, screens and awnings
  • Ensure code compliance and the safety of electrical installations
  • Ensure Proper Operation of all electrical installations
  • Upon completion of installation, review the installation with the Customer to ensure they understand how to operate the shutters and are satisfied with the shutters and installation provided
  • Occasionally troubleshoot, repair or replace our various hurricane protection solutions
  • Lift, load and transport product as necessary
  • Operate hand tools and hand power tools
  • Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and report any maintenance issues

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Apprentice experience & proper certifications for Collier & Lee counties (Florida)
  • Must provide own hand/electrical/power tools
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift shutter materials
  • Must be able to operate on a ladder
  • Must be handy, have knowledge of general construction, and know how to operate general construction tools
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Must speak English and be able to communicate with the customer while on site

Compensation Base:

$30-35 hour. We provide Service Van/Insurance/Ladders/Drill bits/Screws for Business Use Only. Must provide own hand/power tools.
