Job description

Position Title Maintenance Technician 1

Title of Supervisor Maintenance Supervisor

General Responsibilities

  • Observe and comply with all company policies as may be amended from time to time.

  • Keep supervisor informed of work progress and problems in a timely manner.
  • Make suggestions for improvements in own work as well as company processes.
  • Maintain good relationships with supervisor and colleagues.
  • Assist colleagues as requested as time permits.
  • Perform other duties not specifically described.

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities

Perform requested maintenance and repairs in the areas of daily cleaning of A1A, street light cleaning, street light repairs, lot mowing, JIWM main line repairs, JIWM service connection repairs, street and storm sewer cleaning as scheduled and approved.

Duties and Specifications

  • Analyze requested maintenance and repair orders as to required skill, materials, labor, equipment, tools, and method.
  • Establish priorities and be responsible for completion of all work.
  • Be responsible for quantity and quality of work performed.
  • Account for time and proper charge covering any work order.
  • Clean assigned street lights monthly and repair or replace as required on a timely basis.
  • Regularly inspect street signs, clean, paint posts and replace as required.
  • Clear all storm sewer grates after each rain event.
  • Complete Handyman Work Orders as assigned.
  • Be responsible for installing and removing hurricane protection as directed.
  • Assist with emergency preparation and subsequent debris clean-up. Operating chain saw, if necessary.
  • Perform all duties as required or as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, the Director of Utilities and Maintenance or the General Manager.

Requirements

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent. Good Communication Skills;

No Criminal Record; valid Florida Driverโ€™s License.


Pay Range: $20.00-25.00/hour
